I think the Pontiac G6, despite all it’s physical flaws, is a good looking car. It kinda reminds me of the LH-era Chryslers, which I also think generally looked pretty good. That is all.

My sister had a G6 for awhile. Nice appliance. But it didn’t have cruise control. Which was so fucking stupid

I agree. Always liked the looks. The hardtop convertible was also neat in an WTF-are-they-really-making-this kind of way.

These were decent cars. Certainly more engaging to drive than their contemporaries from Ford and Chrysler.

IMO that particular resemblance to the LH era cars is why I think its so hideous. But hey, I think the BMW Clownshoe is beautiful.

I remember thinking the G6 was a huge step forward from the Grand Am, but then I saw one in a dealership newspaper ad in dead-on side view and it was a big NOPE. Cab-forward with long overhangs, a dinky wheelbase, and an absurdly high trunk is a very awkward package. Just as bad as the Grand Am but in a newly bad way.

G6 was actually the second on the longer wheelbase Epsilon 1... same wheelbase as the Malibu Maxx.
That was the reason I went with it, rear legroom was decent.
